Keith Brown
Bullettown is proud to feature Keith Brown as a guest artist on saxophone. Keith is one of the region’s outstanding musical talents, an accomplished horn player, keyboardist and vocalist. Keith started his performance career at age 15 when he formed the band Amazon, which advanced to become a finalist act in the Mid South Talent Show. The band toured Florida for four weeks in the summer of 1972 and cut a cover record in the fall of '73. While attending college at the Univ. of Tenn. Martin, Keith played keyboards with the group Hangar where he worked with several outstanding musicians including the future drummer for country music star Martina McBride. Hangar was a regional favorite and opened shows for national acts such as Confunction and others. After his stint with Hangar, Keith performed with several acts, playing primarily in the country music genre. He also performed with nationally touring shows, including the Bob Hope Orchestra, Ray Charles, and Holiday on Ice. After graduating from college, Keith played professionally with a variety of recording artists, including Bobby Bare, The Diamonds, and a regional band, Bo Dunn and The Deal, who opened shows for Diamond Rio, Martina McBride, and other national acts. In 1999, Bo Dunn and The Deal recorded a self-titled CD comprised of all original songs. Today Keith resides in Henderson, TN and is Director of Music for the Milan school system. He conducts several student music groups and performs in the Milan High School Van Hook Players musical theatre productions. He also performs regularly with his jazz quartet, Southern Comfort as well as Bullettown and continues to balance his church and school obligations with his passion for performing music.
